IWM Client Wins 2 HIA GreenSmart Awards

Right Homes GreenSmart Water Efficiency Award Compressed

Instant Waste Management are pleased to announce that a valued client of ours has won two HIA GreenSmart Awards. Right Homes recently took home the Water Efficiency Award and the Townhouse / Villa Development Award for two separate projects.

Right Homes are custom home builders who pride themselves on the quality of their workmanship and their hard-working and ethical approach to all that they do. They have forged a reputation as one of Perth’s leading sustainable home building companies and demonstrate a strong commitment to the reduction of landfill through recycling. Not only do they use recycled and renewable materials in their building projects, but they send as much of their construction waste as possible to be recycled – a process which Instant Waste Management are delighted to assist with.

Thanks to this commitment to recycling and the strict implementation of GreenSmart principles, Right Homes achieved a whopping 8 and 9.5-star rating for their townhouse development which secured them the HIA Australian GreenSmart Townhouse / Villa Development Award for 2017.

Each townhouse is energy-efficient and boasts solar hot water systems, low-E glazed doors and windows, low-VOC paint and high GreenSmart ratings for tapware and toilets.

Right Homes were also awarded the 2017 HIA Australian GreenSmart Water Efficiency accolade for a single-storey home which was carefully designed to consume 80 per cent less water than the average Australian home.

Instant Waste Management were proud to supply the waste removal services for both projects. We delivered co-mingled recycling bins to each site and provided a regular removal service. The waste was transported to our Material Recovery Facility where it was meticulously sorted in order to recover any materials which could be recycled or re-used, in a bid to reduce landfill.

Right Homes have also been awarded in the past for their great work in the waste space. In 2016, they won a number of HIA GreenSmart and Master Builders ‘excellence’ awards for various building projects.
