What is a front lift bin?
A front lift bin is a mobile steel bin with a colour coded plastic lid to suit a particular waste stream. Front lift bins are suitable for most commercial or industrial applications where the volume of waste generated is substantially large such that the use of wheelie bins is not suitable. Â
How is the bin serviced?
A front lift truck picks up the bin with its mounted tynes. The bin is lifted over the vehicle cab and tipped into the compactor at the back of the truck before being placed back onto the ground.
This system enables multiple bins to be collected at various sites, prior to disposing of the waste at a transfer station or landfill site.
What are the sizes of the front lift bins?
We offer the following three sizes:
- 1.5 cubic metres
- 3.0 cubic metres
- 4.5 cubic metres
Which waste types are typically collected in front lift bins?
The service is suitable for lightweight to medium size density waste such as;
- General waste
- Paper / Cardboard
- Mixed recycling
How often is the bin collection?
