Brookfield Multiplex wins Master Builders Excellence in Construction Awards – Waste Management

Over the years IWM have been issued many awards. We value these awards and wanted to give back to the leaders in the environmental space of recycling & waste management excellence by sponsoring a new award that recognised ground breaking achievements of landfill avoidance in the state.

Working closely with the Master Builders Association, we created & sponsored this inaugural award to recognise & acknowledge key Western Australian contributions by the construction industry.

Our client Brookfield Multiplex was the recipient of this independently MBA judged 2013 award for “Commercial Construction excellence in waste management” on the massive project at Fiona Stanley Hospital. John Holland was also given a High Commendation for their work in Joondalup.

We helped them achieve their high diversion from landfill targets, using larger hook bins for the source separation of the lighter recyclable products. Offered regular engagement with their Environmental & Quality Assurance teams via our monthly recycling reporting and educational tours, held at our Material Recovery Facility.
